Marie Luise Schulz founded mercatino900 just under two years ago, driven by her passion for 20th-century design. Based in Berlin-Charlottenburg, she curates and sells lighting, furniture, glassware, ceramics and home accessories – online and internationally.

She is particularly fascinated by the quality of many designs: their durability, their timelessness and the ease with which they can be integrated into contemporary interiors. She carries out most of the research, identification and restoration work herself.

Her personal connection to Milan and Italy also shapes her perspective on design. As well as well-known designs, she is drawn to distinctive objects that impress through their form, colour, material and quality – regardless of whether they bear a big name.
